Niman Ranch introduces sliced ham packaging

Niman Ranch plans to roll out a 6-ounce convenience package of sliced deli ham in Black Forest, Applewood Smoked and Honey flavors. Expected to hit retailers’ shelves in April, the new deli ham joins the company’s other pre-sliced deli items, which include Corned Beef, Pastrami, Roast Beef and a charcuterie line.

“For years, Niman Ranch fans have been asking for our delicious ham to come pre-sliced, but it took time to perfect the recipe and flavors and also to grow our farmer network to ensure we have enough pork to meet demand,” said Drew Calvert, vice president of innovation at Niman Ranch in a release about the new offering.

Case Farms’ new safety milestone

It is the second time in three years that the Goldsboro plant has reached the 2 million-hour benchmark; in 2018, that plant reached the 3 million-hour mark without an LTA.
