** Jarvis Introduces Spinal Cord Removers for Grinding Away the Spinal Cord Channel

Jarvis Products Corporation of Middletown, Connecticut has recently introduced two new types of spinal cord removers – the Model SPC 165G (pneumatic) and Model SHC 165G (hydraulic). Both tools incorporate the latest patented technology for grinding away the spinal cord channel where BSE risk material exists, including the spinal cord, sheath, missplit and the meninges (spinal cord skin). This minimizes the amount of central nervous system (CNS) tissue left in the channel.

The pneumatic powered Model SPC 165G works on air pressure alone. It is durable, lightweight and weights only 7.5 pounds (3.4 kg). The hydraulically powered Model SHC 165G has a powerful 2.5 horsepower (1.9 kW) motor, and operates with a hydraulic power unit. Both tools have balancer connections, and are connected to vacuum systems for tank collection and disposal of removed spinal cord material.

** Automatic Hog Splitter Cuts Them Straight Down The Middle!

The JCK-1 incorporates the latest, patented technology in automatic hog splitting, including a five axis computerized mechanism capable of splitting a maximum 650 hogs per hour - regardless of size or weight. Other features include customized PLC programs to handle individual plant processing requirements, a variable speed cutting head for handling different blade types, an adjustable splitting station movement that adapts to production line variances, and pressurized lubrication for extended bearing and gear life. The rugged, stainless steel constructed JCK-1 is 13 1/2 feet high, 11 feet wide and 7 feet deep. Jarvis' Automatic Hog Splitter provides higher production rates, and feather bone cuts down the center.

**Leaf Lard Puller

New from Jarvis Products Corporation is the LLP-1 Leaf Lard Puller, designed to eliminate the stress of hand pulling leaf lard stripes from hogs. The LLP-1 is hydraulically powered with the capacity to handle 500 pulls per hour. The Leaf Lard Puller instantly removes leaf lard in one motion, without the need of a pre-starting tool. Jarvis says the LLP-1 with its anti-tie down controls is easy to operate and ensures operator safety. Polished surface construction makes this Jarvis tool easy to clean and easy to maintain.

**SEC 400 Carcass Splitting Circular Saw

Jarvis Products Corporation. Jarvis produces the electric powered Model SEC 400 Carcass Splitting Circular Saw – the latest technology for hog splitting on gambels. Especially designed for splitting butcher hogs and sows, the SEC 400 is powered by a sealed, five horsepower electric motor for ultimate performance. To ensure operator safety, anti-tie down controls are included. A short overall length (37 inches / 94 centimeters) and specially designed handles make the SEC 400 easy to operate. Smooth surface construction makes the saw easy to clean and keep hygienic. Also available is an electromagnetic starter for quick and easy installation, and an extra thin stainless steel gear head.
