Campylobacter:
A Three Part Series

Campylobacteriosis is the most frequent and most misreported zoonotic disease in humans worldwide, with contaminated poultry meat being a major source of this enteric zoonosis.

Successfully reducing incidences of foodborne disease caused by Campylobacter is difficult and can only happen by strict adherence to performance targets for reducing microbial load. A rapid and reliable quantification method for Campylobacter spp. is needed to alleviate laboratory workflow bottlenecks, provide data traceability, and allow earlier corrective actions at the production level to maximize consumer safety and production efficiency.
